Final Front Cover

This is my final front cover, as you can see I changed the cover image to one with a microphone to get across the fact it is a music magazine rather than a fashion magazine, and I altered the colour scheme also.
I am happy with the result, and I am glad that I listen to the advice given, and changed the necessary features.

Final Contents Page

When I made this page, I wanted the background to be slightly different to the rest, so I could have a bit of variety with the backgrounds.
I chose a few different fonts that went well with each other also to give variety, and keep people interested. The important words are in bold or in a different font, like the word "Summer" for instance, as summer is something people love, and a lot of gigs and festivals are in the summer, so this would have an effect with my younger target audience, and would therefore be eyecatching.
I chose to add some other images as well as the main one, so that people could really get the feel of the genre with the lights and the crowd.
I like the main image, as my model is in a different position to the double page spread and front cover, which keeps the reader interested, and makes it look less repetitive.
I also added an online address at the bottom of the page, so that people can view the magazine online.
The images at the top of the page are royalty free images, and this is a link to the regulations regarding the images: http://www.sxc.hu/txt/license.html

Final Double Page Spread

This is the finished version of my double page spread, I made sure I carried on the house style with the colours blue, pink, black and yellow.
I wanted the image to be quite bold and although it is 1/3 of the page, it still isn't over shadowed by the text, as her foot makes the image extend to the next page.
I like the image for this, it is how I wanted it to look, and this page went all how I wanted it to go, without me having to adapt much to meet my audience needs.

The word Representation means how something is re-presented to people. The real definition is this: The description or portrayal of someone or something in a particular way or as being of a certain nature.

My media product represents certain groups partly through the use of the colours and fonts featured throughout. I have not limited the colour scheme to pinks/purples which would stereotypically represent feminine groups, however I have used both pinks, blues and bright yellow, which are colours that would possibly represent a younger market (because of the vibrancy) of both males and females.

The particular fonts used help to symbolize dance music, and groups of people that go to clubs or listen to this particular type of music, because of the edgy and bold style of the lettering.

Another thing I have used in my magazine to represent different social groups is the artist featured in my magazine.
She is a young female singer who groups of young people would be able to relate to. She fits into the target audience for my magazine, which is the main group of people she helps to represent.
She also helps to represent young people as she is not an artist that is like Lady Gaga for instance, who wears very unusual different outfits, Loreena Steele however is featured wearing clothes you would see a normal 17 year old or so wearing.

Music event

Recently, my school put on a house music competition, and I thought this would be a good opportunity to take some photos for my magazine.
I took some photos, however there were many problems meaning I couldn't use the photos for my magazine.
Firstly, the majority of the images were blurry or dark, as I wasn't able to use the flash (In case it distracted performers)
Secondly, I couldn't find my genre of music. There were a lot of bands or groups of people singing, and the bands had guitars and drums which would not connote dance/electropop music.
