Peer Assessment Evaluation

I recently finished a rough copy of my front cover, and then showed it to my class.
People gave me their opinions and criticisms...

Good points:
-Background image
-Layout is good, and the title stands out
-Colour scheme

I spent a lot of time trying to get a good cover image, I did the photo shoot about three times, the first time, the costumes weren't relevant, the second time, the images were not varied enough, I needed to change the look of each photo (costume, position etc)
The third time was the best, for the cover image, I did a close up of my model, and gave her a bold lip colour, which I could change for my contents page, and double page spread.
I chose the colours for my front cover that rated best in my questionnaire, this is probably why it was picked as a good point, as they are my target audience, it is what they wanted to see.

Bad points:
-Make genre more obvious, and make it less like a fashion magazine
-Cover lines
-Colour of title (Change to blue)

One of the points picked out was that my magazine didn't look like a music magazine, instead it looked like a fashion magazine. To change this I needed to add more of a music element, possibly with the cover lines, or the font.
Also, to tie in all the colours I needed to make my title blue, and I needed to play around with the sizes of the fonts, to make sure the title was the only thing that stands out.

I have made all these amendments, and my magazine is starting to look more like a dance/electropop magazine, the only thing I need to do now is to change the cover lines slightly.
